The Lifeguard Over the Air Manager (formerly FOTA Manager or FotaMgr) controls the Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) Client on the device. This client allows administrators to perform OS updates on Zebra devices without a physical connection. The FOTA Client app comes preinstalled on supported devices and is preconfigured to communicate with the Zebra update server.
SUPPORT NOTES:
This is the On/Off switch for the LifeGuard OTA (formerly FOTA) client app on the device, which manages over-the-air firmware updates. Enabled by default.

Controls device-user access to the LifeGuard OTA (formerly FOTA) client app and the ability to change the LifeGuard OTA client app state (active/inactive) on the device. When disabled (option 2), the device user is prevented from changing the FOTA client app state and its ability to accept firmware updates.
